Who operates Travely

Travely is operated by Boaz Cohen. For privacy questions, access, correction or deletion requests, contact boaz@simchabucks.com.

Information we use

We use your account identity and verified email to sign you in, check pilot admission and control trip access. With Google sign-in, Clerk handles your Google account identifier, email and basic profile information. Travely requests only identity permissions, not access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar or your Google Maps history.

We store the trip information you provide: destinations, dates, travelers, preferences, interview answers, itinerary entries, budgets, bookings, notes, inspiration links, conversations, suggestions and uploaded PDFs or images. We also keep itinerary versions, AI results and usage records, invitation/access records and technical information needed to operate and troubleshoot the service.

Only add information you have permission to share. Remove passport numbers, payment details and other unnecessary sensitive information from documents and notes before uploading them.

When you use AI

Planning and chat send the full saved trip context, your request, recent conversation from the selected day or whole-trip chat, and relevant evidence to OpenAI and Anthropic. This includes the full itinerary even when your question concerns one day. OpenAI also evaluates the planning candidates. Trip context can include traveler information, preferences, itinerary notes and booking details you entered. AI interview requests go to OpenAI. When you request document extraction, the entire selected PDF or image goes to OpenAI for processing; Travely does not automatically redact sensitive details before sending it.

Travel research uses OpenAI web search with destination and place labels, travel dates and public inspiration links. Use only public inspiration links without private tokens, and do not put private information in those labels or URLs. Provider processing and retention are governed by the applicable API service terms; this policy does not promise zero retention by providers.

We retain job inputs, trip snapshots, conversations, results and usage records to show your history, support review and control spending. AI suggestions need your review before they change the saved itinerary.

Maps and travel estimates

Opening Google Maps or searching for a place connects your browser to Google. Google receives the map/search inputs and normal connection information such as your IP address. Travely stores your confirmed Google Place ID associations; live Google details are not saved into the itinerary, sent to our AI providers or included in trip packs.

The separate travel-estimates feature sends relevant place labels or coordinates and the travel mode to Geoapify. Reviewed estimates may be stored with your trip. Following an external directions or source link takes you to that service, which handles information under its own policies.

Sharing and service providers

Invited family members can see the shared itinerary and information the organizer makes available to them. Organizer chat, interview answers and unaccepted planning drafts are not shared with them. Documents are private to the organizer unless explicitly shared. Removing online access cannot recall a file or trip pack someone already downloaded.

Clerk provides authentication; Neon provides database and private document storage; Fly.io is the selected production host. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Geoapify process the feature inputs described above. When invitation email is enabled, Resend receives the recipient email, trip name and invitation link to deliver it. Email you send to our support address is handled by our email service.

Boaz Cohen may access information needed to provide support, investigate problems, secure the service and handle your requests. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Our database is hosted in the United States; service providers may process information in other countries.

Cookies, copies and retention

Authentication uses cookies and related browser technology to maintain sessions and protect sign-in. Downloaded documents and trip packs remain on the device where you save them.

The pilot does not yet automatically expire trip data or provide a self-service account or trip deletion flow. Editing or removing an itinerary entry can leave earlier copies in itinerary history and AI job records; it does not remove uploaded source documents. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion. We may need to verify your identity and clarify how a request affects a shared trip.

Backup retention and a verified deletion schedule are still being finalized before outside-family admission. We do not promise immediate removal from backups or from a provider’s own records. Do not use this pilot as your only copy of important travel documents.

Your choices and updates

You can plan manually without requesting AI work, leave maps unopened, choose what to upload and ask the organizer to remove your trip access. You can revoke Google sign-in access in your Google Account settings; doing so does not itself delete information already held by Travely.
